Inheritance Tax – What’s next for your business?

Business Relief is crucial for family businesses in the UK as it helps reduce the tax burden when passing the business to the next generation. However, upcoming changes in April 2026 will significantly impact how much relief family businesses can claim so planning ahead is essential to minimise tax exposure.

Deaf Awareness to Business

Deaf Awareness to Business in line with the BSL Act 22 and your equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging commitments.

Would your business benefit from a 1-hour deaf awareness workshop?

This fun, interactive, informative hour is written in partnership with D/deaf professionals.  It gets wonderful feedback and promotes your equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging commitments.

This workshop can be delivered face to face, online or hybrid style.

The aims of the deaf awareness workshop are to;

–  Remove barriers to communication

–  Have a better understanding of the deaf world, deaf people and their preferred communication

–  Understand your responsibilities with the BSL Act 2002

–  Learn the BSL alphabet and have some fun using it!

Although hearing loss affects 1 in 3 adults, there is still a lack of deaf awareness and confidence in basic communication;

  • There are 18 million D/deaf and hard of hearing living in the UK.
  • Recent estimates suggest that the UK economy loses £25 billion a year in lost productivity and unemployment due to hearing loss.
  • Two-fifths (41%) of D/deaf employees retire early due to the impact of their hearing loss and struggles with communication at work.
  • 68% agreed that they felt isolated at work because of their hearing loss.

Source; RNID and Hearing Link

With this in mind; and the BSL Act being passed in 2022, Nancy set about trying to bridge the gap between the deaf and the hearing world.

Everything to do with the D/deaf world is naturally more authentic when delivered by a deaf person with lived experience.  Nancy has teamed up with her deaf friends and professionals to capture their lived experiences.  Together, they have written a deaf awareness workshop for business.

Written and celebrated in partnership with D/deaf friends and professionals.
