The BPMA in partnership with Made in Britain have created a competition, exclusively for BPMA members, to design a brand-new item of merchandise for Made in Britain.
The Challenge
Made in Britain are seeking a brand-new item of merchandise that promotes British Manufacturing to the international business community.
Could your product become the next global symbol of British manufacturing? Showcase your creativity. Champion British manufacturing. Pitch in the Den. Design the merchandise that takes British manufacturing to the world.
Your mission is to design a brand-new item of merchandise that captures the essence of Made in Britain and serves as a positive symbol of British and Northern Irish manufacturing.
The product should help Made in Britain celebrate and promote manufacturers across Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It should clearly reflect the strength, quality and creativity of British and Northern Irish manufacturing, while demonstrating responsible design and the potential to support the sector’s continued growth.

What We’re Looking For
Challenge participants are encouraged to think outside the box, while ensuring that the product is easily recognisable and holds the potential to become a meaningful symbol of Made in Britain’s work in championing UK manufacturers across all sectors.
Designs are encouraged to consider:
-
Sustainability
-
Accessibility
-
Originality
-
Recognisability
- Commercial Feasibility
The Prize
A shortlist of 8 finalists will be selected to pitch their ideas in person to a judging panel from Made in Britain and the BPMA – in the original Dragon’s Den filming studio.
The winner will be chosen on the day and may enter commercial discussions with Made in Britain, with the BPMA managing the relationship to protect trade exclusivity.
