Supplying a promotional product range of over 2000 different items directly from stock to 10,000+ distributors of promotional products globally with the main focus on Europe, midocean is one of Europe’s leading importers and wholesalers in the Promotional Gifts market and now part of SOLO Group a French textile wholesaler with a combined turnover in excess of €500 million.

midocean in the UK is looking to continue its rapid growth and significantly grow their share within the highly competitive UK business gift marketplace and now seeks to employ a Southern Account Manager. Ideally you will be located in or around the greater London area.

The Role

The successful candidate will be ambitious, professional, proactive and very sales focused.

The Role is split between account management and new business development. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for an Account Manager who has strong personal relationship building skills, and the ability to negotiate and sell at all levels. Ideally your experience and background will be from the industry or associated, and preferably with textile sales experience giving you a true understanding of the marketplace.

Your Responsibilities

  • Achieving sales and associated targets within both new and existing customer base
  • Implement sales and marketing strategies to existing & new customers to maximise business opportunities that exist
  • Deliver professional presentations that demonstrate & promote the full range of products and E-services offered
  • Attend exhibitions in the UK and in Europe when required
  • Participate in all areas of customer liaison

Requirements

  • A mature self-motivated individual, with plenty of drive and enthusiasm
  • The ability to work on your own initiative
  • Effective communicator with a track record of achieving results
  • Good organisation skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • IT literate and used to working with a CRM system
  • Experience within the promotional gifts and or the textile industry is preferable
  • A proven track record in a B2B marketplace selling to distributors would also be of value
