In 2021, Nadel opened an India office (Nadel India) so that clients with Indian offices could transact with Nadel through Nadel India, as India companies can only transact with Indian companies.
The company has partnered with over 3,000 global manufacturers and Nadel’s merchandising team scours premium and gift shows worldwide and is constantly searching out new product sources for its customers. Role Overview:
The Bookkeeper will report to the Finance Director (London) and will be one of 3 in the finance team. This full time role is responsible for all day to day bookkeeping and is the main point of contact for daily accounts transactions.
Job Location: Monmouth House, 87-93 Westbourne Grove, London, W2 4UL
Duties and Responsibilities (for both UK and BV):
- Processing supplier and client invoices and payments, and entering data into accounting software (Xero). Supplier product invoices are entered by an outsourced company based in India, a relationship that needs to be checked and managed.
- Credit control – chasing payment, ensuring credit limits are adhered to
- Ownership of AP and AR ledgers
- Supplier and customer account reconciliations
- Completing new supplier forms
- Processing petty cash reconciliations
- Ensuring correct VAT rates and categories accuracy for client and suppliers invoices
- Processing intercompany transactions and processing payments with sister companies
- Bank reconciliations in multi currencies
- Managing the Finance inbox for each entity, UK and BV.
- Processing employee expense claims
- Preparing a weekly cashflow report
- Monitoring currency cashflow and converting currency when required through a broker
- Monthly ICP (EC Sales) report for BV
- Monthly credit card reconciliations and monitor customer card transactions
- Own and improve procurement processes and controls
- General accounts administration duties and journals
- The role is split 30% accounts receivable, 40% accounts payable, 10% VAT reporting, 10% intercompany, 10% banking
Skills and Experience
- All round bookkeeping experience gained in a growing SME environment
- Ability to multi task and be accurate with good attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good knowledge of Excel. Proficiency in accounting software: Xero/Scoro job costing
- A proactive mindset with good written and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to the e-commerce / retail (import / export) sector, along with multi-jurisdictional and multi-currency experience
