UK Response to US Tariffs

The UK Government is seeking the input of UK businesses to share their views about the impacts that any future UK tariffs might have, if applied on US goods, in response to the US government’s recent tariff announcements.

As guidance, a supporting indicative list of US products has been published, from which the government is most likely to draw in developing any future tariffs.

FSC Trademark Standard Revision

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) have launched a public consultation on the revision of FSC-STD-50-001: Requirements for the Use of FSC® Trademarks by Certificate Holders.

This refers to requirements for labelling and promotion of FSC-certified products with FSC trademarks, as well as the promotion of an organisation’s status as an FSC certificate holder. This consultation provides the opportunity for businesses to provide feedback on the current draft of the standard.

This request for feedback closes on 6th June 2025.

EU Digital Product Passport

The EU Commission has launched a public consultation on the Digital Product Passport – a key initiative under the EU 2024 Ecodesign Regulation for Sustainable Products.

The aim is to gather stakeholder views on how data should be stored and managed by service providers, and whether a certification scheme for such service providers is needed.
