Grabbing the attention of visitors at trade exhibitions is the first step in starting those conversations with new customers.
Samedaybags.com, who can print branded bags and deliver them within 24 hours, used a claw machine on their stand at Merchandise World for the first time, with anyone who stopped by having the chance to win a top-of-the-range cuddly toy!
The fairground favourite proved such a success that Samedaybags.com had a record number of visitors to their stand for a September show and are looking to make it a regular feature of their trade stand, alongside the huge range of tote, jute, sport and organic bags that they print.
All visitors to the stand could pick up an eco-friendly Stanley Stella big bag, printed with an eco-friendly DTF print, which was a showcase of the firm’s work.
Melvin Green, who started the business 12 years ago, said: “Part of the fun at a trade show is trying to find a way to attract attention. We know that once people get a chance to see our products and chat to us we can have meaningful discussions about helping them find printed merchandise.
“We also used the opportunity to show some visitors a prototype of a new style of printing as part of pre-production research on a range we now expect to introduce soon following an enthusiastic reaction.
“The claw machine helped us to stand out and who doesn’t want to arrive home from a show with a new cuddly toy for their loved one!”
