BPMA Golf Day 2025: Wind, Wedges & Warm Spirits!

News . 26th June 2025

The BPMA Golf Day returned in style on Tuesday 24th June 2025 at the beautiful—but blustery—Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club. With the wind adding a challenging twist to every tee shot, it was a true test of skill, strategy, and team spirit.

After breakfast, the morning began on The Signature Course with a 9-hole Texas Scramble, where collaboration was key. Teams battled more than a light breeze to select their best shots and make use of everyone’s tee-offs at least twice—no small feat in the conditions.

After lunch and a chance to regroup, the afternoon action kicked off on The Championship Course. The 4 ball better ball Comic Relief format, complete with a rotating red ball for double points, brought added fun and pressure. The red ball’s survival rate became a hot topic by the 12th green.

Individual players were also competing for the “Best Individual Golfer” Trophy on stableford scores, while some lucky (and accurate!) players walked away with prizes for Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive, and a few even beat the pro to win a celebratory bottle of Prosecco.

A huge thank you goes to all who participated and supported the event. Special thanks to Clive Allcott, BPMA Chair, for not only taking part but also playing a pivotal role in organising the day—his efforts and score card maths ensured a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
