BPMA Gender Pay Gap Initiative

As of April 2025, the UK’s gender pay gap across all employees was 12.8% (Office for National Statistics).

Inspired by our International Women’s Day 2025 event, the BPMA launched a Gender Pay Gap Committee with the shared ambition of addressing the pay gap in our sector. Leaders and founders from across the industry volunteered their time and expertise, and together we have developed the BPMA’s Gender Pay Gap Commitment.

This new initiative sets out ten actions that organisations should be taking to drive progress towards pay equality, along with further guidance on how to undertake these actions.

By signing up, your organisation commits to advancing gender pay equality within your business and across our industry.

Organisations that reward all employees fairly are more likely to attract the best workers, reduce staff absence and turnover, and thereby increase overall productivity. Whilst also enhancing their reputation and reducing the risk of costly equal pay tribunals.
