News . 3rd March 2025

As part of Tancia Group’s ongoing sustainability initiatives, the company recently welcomed 50 Year 6 students for an engaging open day, offering hands-on learning experiences and valuable insights into the world of print and promotional merchandise.

The students were taken on a guided tour of Tancia Group’s production facility, where they saw the manufacturing process in action and gained first-hand knowledge from Director James Cleere. James provided an inside look at the industry, demonstrating how everyday promotional products are branded.

Following the tour, students had the opportunity to get creative by staging and participating in a video shoot, offering them a glimpse into the vital role marketing plays in business. Director Helen Dyl led an insightful session on branding techniques, providing an overview of marketing at Tancia Group and explaining how promotional merchandise helps businesses connect with their customers.

Louis Lynch, Head of Design & Technology at RGS Guildford, praised the experience:

“Tancia Group’s school workshop was an inspiring and interactive experience that combined technology, creativity, and hands-on learning. From watching digital printers in action to participating in a live Q&A session with a student-led film crew, every moment was engaging and unforgettable! The team seamlessly merged STEM education, pupil engagement, print knowledge, business disciplines, and media magic. The tour not only showcased cutting-edge technology but also encouraged hands-on learning and interactive activities.”

The event was a great success and enjoyed by all, with Tanica Group looking forward to opening its doors for further community initiatives in the near future.
