Cornwall-based sustainable merchandise manufacturer CHX Products has supplied Blue Peter badges exclusively for over a decade. The latest milestone: a Green Badge presented to His Majesty the King.
On 22nd April 2026, King Charles III was presented with a Green Blue Peter Badge during a visit to The King’s Foundation’s Pierburg Education Centre and Kauffman Education Garden, as part of the Foundation’s 35th anniversary celebrations.
The Green Blue Peter Badge is awarded for genuine environmental achievement. It is one of the top Blue Peter Badges and is not presented lightly. For CHX Products, the Bodmin-based manufacturer that makes every Blue Peter badge, the moment carries particular significance.
Every badge in the Blue Peter range is produced at CHX Products’ solar-powered facility in Bodmin, Cornwall, using recycled plastic. The combination of renewable energy, recycled materials, and UK-based manufacturing means the badge presented to the King is, itself, a product of the sustainable principles it represents.

About the Green Blue Peter Badge
While the standard Blue Peter Badge is awarded for appearing on the show, the Green Badge requires demonstrated commitment to environmental causes. His Majesty’s receipt of the badge recognised decades of advocacy for sustainable land use, food production, and environmental stewardship.
A second Green Badge was sealed in a time capsule during the same visit, marking The King’s Foundation’s 35th anniversary.
