The international promotional merchandise industry prepares a historic world record attempt at PSI 2026 in Düsseldorf

The international promotional merchandise industry will send a strong signal of unity and global brand diversity in January 2026. At PSI 2026 in Düsseldorf, an officially registered world record attempt will take place that aims to bring the entire industry together for the first time: 
 
Most varieties of brands in a promotional merchandise display (concept) – 250 
 
Objective: 250 different brands in a single collective presentation. 
 
Six hundred exhibitors, thousands of visitors, and one thousand products will together form a picture of the industry’s strength, diversity, and innovative capability. 
 
The record attempt will bring together people from all over Europe and the world. Exhibitors, distributors, brands, suppliers, and visitors are invited to bring products with visible brand logos that they use in their daily work or that they have collected in archives, sample rooms, trade fairs, or during business travel. In this way a unique, spontaneous, and global brand mosaic will emerge during the event, making the creative power and diversity of the industry visible. 
 
In contrast to traditional record attempts, nothing is collected beforehand. The record will be created entirely live during the exhibition. Every product, every brand, and every submission will be registered on site and added to a continuously growing display that will ultimately bring together at least 250 different brand logos. 
 
The attempt serves as a symbol of the identity of the promotional merchandise industry. It is international, diverse, creative, emotional, and strongly interconnected. At the same time, the initiative is understood as a historic moment of community. With every branded product submitted, participants demonstrate how closely connected the industry is across national borders. 
 
During the exhibition days a large brand display will be created in which all validated products will be presented together. The display will grow continuously and become a visual statement of the promotional merchandise industry itself. The Guinness World Records adjudicator on site will supervise and verify all submissions and will announce the official result on the final exhibition day. 
 
A record that will endure. A moment that brings people together. An image that will become part of history. 
 
All media representatives are invited to follow the process. Photos, videos, and press material will be provided during and after the event.

“This initiative is far more than a record attempt for us,” says Petra Lassahn, Director PSI. “It is a gesture of appreciation toward Düsseldorf, an emotional conclusion, and also a new beginning. What we present here is the essence of our industry, which is built on creativity, sustainability, and collaboration.” 
 
“This world record attempt is a symbol for our industry,” says Steven Baumgaertner, CEO of cyber-Wear and initiator of the initiative. “It shows that promotional merchandise is far more than physical items. These products are emotional messengers, cultural bridges, and the most visible form of active brand communication. At a time when much has become digital, we demonstrate together the power of the tangible.”
